Vasco dreams of a good job and a bright future.<\/p>\n
Vasco was one of the first children to be admitted to the orphanage of Corrie Ockhuysen in Mozambique. His family was poor and Vasco was probably beaten a lot, he still has nightmares regularly. Vasco's mother has passed away, his father visits Maputo regularly but refuses contact with Vasco. This is painful for Vasco, he is a sensitive boy and has been through a lot. Vasco has AIDS and uses antiretroviral drugs, but has a lot to do with infections and is in poor health. Vasco is very intelligent and knows a lot about electricity. He missed two years of school because he was ill.
\nUpdate September 2023: Vasco is almost 23 and lives in a rented room. After a difficult period in his life, he is now doing a course for electrician, and with pleasure. We hope that he can build a life here one day and start his own family. <\/p>\n
